[Boatanchors] auction time linked to what timing source?

Gene,

Last year when I was buying my HT20 (not at a hamfest) the seller
wanted $500. He had included a 122, 275 w. matchbox, cables and a
shure 520 mic. The mic alone goes for $150 on eBay. It was almost
like he was throwing in the HT20 for free. I offered $400. He looked
downcast and annoyed. I immediately realized how stupid I had been
and quickly handed over $500. All I can say in the way of defense is
after years of buying it is tough to turn off the bargaining reflex.
