I have been searching for a nice R-390 (non-A) for some time, and
finally brought one home over the weekend. So I think it's prudent, in
terms of rack space, weight, and dollars - to offer my existing R-390A for
sale. I am offering only to Listmembers, not to any Large Auction Sites.
It is a Motorola, 4-digit serial number (1xxx - can't remember the
rest). It is in nice overall shape, there is no damage or grunge, it is
clean and tight.
There are no top or bottom covers (the IF deck top cover is in place) and
the MHTZ and KHTZ knobs are undamaged but in need of re-finishing.
However no deep grooves in the panel are visible, so the previous
operators must have trimmed their fingernails... HIHI.
The radio is working well on all ranges, there are no 'dead bands'. As
mentioned, the gear train is free and smooth.
I am asking $425 - WHICH INCLUDES - obsessive packing and insured
shipment to your door, via FedEx Ground. $425 gets the radio from me to
you, done deal. I can also deliver it within a reasonable (weekend) day's
drive, for any Bay Area or NoCal folks. Weather is currently a factor to
be considered, FYI. Finally, it can be picked up at my Carson City QTH,
and I will lower the asking price in such a case to compensate.
I happily take PayPal, MOs, Certified Checks, or actual cash.
I can send pix if you really want, but - if you've seen one of these,
you've seen them all. :)
Please reply to me privately, off-list.
Cheers
