[Boatanchors] HRO product detector

I picked up an HRO-60 with a plug in product detector and I wonder if anyone has information on it.  A google search has not yielded anything useful.

The unit plugs into the NBFM socket and is commercially made.  It is built in a copper box upon which is printed:  HRO PRODUCT DETECTOR  Universal Service Co.  114 N. 3rd ST.  Columbus Ohio

It uses 6BA6 and 12AT7 tubes and on the end of the panel visible when it is plugged in is a variable control allowing selection of upper and lower sideband.

It looks well made and I would like to know more of the history if anyone knows.
