I never had any of the early CFLs, but the current design ones don't
cause any RFI that I have seen. They light instantly and give good
light. RFI was one of my worries about them, so I took a Walkman radio
to a friend's apartment, switched it to AM, and heard RFI only when I
put it right up to the CFL. None even 1-2 feet away.
Nonetheless, I am stocking up on incandescent bulbs.
