I’ve recently completed restoring a Loudenboomer MK IIA amp from Radio Industries. It works beautifully at 1 KW in almost daily use. This one is serial number 243 which I’m guessing was built in around 1963.

This was an attic find that was free. It was very very dirty. After cleaning and properly rewiring I made the following non destructive mods. Replaced the 3-400Z with a new 3-500Z, chimney, and anode cap. Rewired the rig properly. Replaced the 148 discrete component rectifier board with four potted HV diodes. Replaced the cap across the choke since it was blown.

Are there other current Loudenboomer MK II owners on the list? If so, what has been your experience with this amp and have you done any other non-destructive mods?
