A very long time ago I remember a readout made of an
early IBM electric typwriter, the kind with a type basket
and actuated by a roller. I think it sat on something that
worked the key levers to type. My memory is that it was
driven by a Non-Linear Systems DVM but its so long ago now
that I can't be sure. Either the DVM or typing adaptor had
stepping switches in it. I wonder if anyone knows what this
was.
