I recently acquired a Stancor 60P transmitter that was apparently built in the
late 30's. It came with two coils on hefty 5 pin Johnson ceramic forms. Inside
the forms, right next to the Johnson decals, the numbers 653 and 643 are
written. by hand. The coil marked 643 would work in a push pull stage and has a
coupling link. The coil marked 653 has a link at one end of the coil. I
sus.pect both coils are for 80 meters

Does anyone know if this marking was done at the factory and, if so, does anyone
have any information that relates the numbers to frequencies, winding formats,
etc.?

Thanks for reading,
