The Globe Chief Deluxe had a different cabinet and only covered 80-meters through 10-meters. That is, it did not have the 160-meter band.

However, with the exception of not covering the 160-meter band, the Globe Chief Deluxe had the same circuitry of the 90 and 90A.

Leo Myerson  (World Radio Laboratories) then sold Globe Electronics to G C Electronics who made tools and chemicals for the electronics industry. The GC version of the Globe Chief was a different transmitter cosmetically, but the circuitry was essentially the same. A 6AG7 oscillator driving a pair of 807 final tubes was the tube line up.

My first transmitter, back in 1958, was a WRL Globe Chief 90. Today, I own two Globe Chief 90 transmitters of the WRL variety. I also own a Globe Scout 680 built by (WRL) Globe Electronics of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

My two Globe Chiefs seem to have insufficient grid drive using crystals. I need to check to see if the mod for using a VFO has been made and determine if that is the problem with low grid drive to the 807s. Both transmitters have the same symptoms. I have fond memories of the pregnant 6AG7 oscillator generating a lot of harmonics and my dad complaining about TVI on our 17 inch Motorola Black and white TV with 21 mhz IFs. Naturally I only operated 7 mhz and 21 mhz novice bands to folded dipoles.  Recon why I had TVI???  Ignorance was BLISS until dad got on my case!!!
