Yes, they made a finned mic like that. Sort of looks like the flashlight light I had on my old Rollfast bike.

Disregarding the distraction in the picture, did Astatic make a mic with
fins like that? Certainly not with a base that makes it impossible to
electrically connect to the mic. I see that the same seller has another
mic on ebay, also with the nice distraction in the pic, which he says he
did test and works fine. So why was he unable to test this one?
This mic looks to me like an Astatic head with fins added and mated to
an EV neck.
