[Boatanchors] Hamfest stories

I'm usually fairly articulate, but let's see if I can get this one told:

My favorite amusing hamfest story revolves around a Millen GDO and a Knight
R100A receiver. My cup runneth over with boatanchors, so I usually try to
keep anything from following me home.

At this particular meet, I had a Millen GDO for sale asking $50. Bob, a
local ham who I know, looked at it early in the meet and thought it was a
bit high and left. My neighboring table was run by Joe, another local who I
know. He had a beautiful Knight R100A receiver that he wanted me to look
at. Toward the end he said I could have it for $40. Since I had pledged to
myself that I wouldn't buy anything, I suggested that he see if there was
anything I had that he would take as a trade.

Toward the end, when no one wants to pack stuff up, he looked at my table
and offered to trade for the GDO. I agreed, he took the GDO, turned around
and sold it to Bob, who was standing behind him, for $40, and gave me the
receiver!

This was a couple of years ago, and I'm still trying to figure out who came
out ahead! I think it was me, because I like the receiver!
