[Boatanchors] HQ-150 Line Bypass Caps Needed

A couple of points Al.

1. Vishay WYO .0047 250VAC caps at Mouser are .38 each, while standard .0047
@ 1000V are .50 each. The WYO are dual rated for X1 and Y2.

2. Many if not most vintage radio collectors (as compared to ham gear only)
prefer the 3 cap bypass method. One from each side of the AC line to ground
and one between them. This way it doesnt matter which way you plug in a non
polarized 2 wire cord or a 2 wire polarized cord into a miswired outlet.
Since the safety caps are designed to fail open there is no longer a concern
about a hot chassis.

My cord preference is new 2 wire polarized cords made to look like the old
brown ones. Since I did all my own AC wiring and checked every outlet I know
its done correct (-; but I still use the 3 cap method so future radio owners
are still safe.
