  I believe that a monoband kit would have a decent chance to get some 
of the younger crowd into the hobby.

Once the spark is ignited, the continued interest "usually" takes the 
individual further on their own.

I found that to be the case in myself and a handful that I've 
"Elmered".  Those have all gone on further and further.

If there is absolutely NO interest, then you can't get anywhere.  This 
hobby just isn't for everyone.
