Another failing is the fact that Halli skimped on the fuse.  Mine burnt up
a power transformer one day after being left on during my absence.  (Back in
the mid sixties)  Finding space for a standard fuseholder may be difficult.
Adding one in-line under the chassis is better than nothing.
