A boatanchor in the truest sense of the word. I had 1-2/3 of these that I got a couple of decades ago from the refuse heap. I turned the power supply deck from one into a power supply for an ART-13. The other decks I gave away to someone at a hamfest about 10 years ago. I might still have one RF deck left somewhere.
I actually once tried to get one running a long time ago. I used an HC-6 type crystal which fractured within seconds. An FT-243 crystal ran very hot. An external oscillator would have been the answer.
Does anyone know of a TDQ which is actually on the air on 2 meters these days? Just curious.
