[Boatanchors] Old transceiver

Hello:

I'm making some progress on a transmitter.

I was going to include a driver stage, but at the rate I go anymore I'd never get done.

I'm thinking that an older, solid-state transceiver might be the way to go. That way, I'd have a VFO and plenty of drive power.

I don't need any bells and whistles. What I'd like to have is a digital display (with good accuracy), adjustable power output to 100 watts and be stable, frequency-wise. Must cover 10 through 160 meters.

This is to drive an AM trasmitter. Cheap is good!

You more knowledable folks may thing of something else I should have.

I have not kept up on SS transceivers for 20 years, so recomendations are welcome.

Thank you & 73, Barrie, W7ALW
