Id have to disagree with that quotation. It was the end of the line for 
Hammarlund and the HQ-200 was arguably the worse set they ever built. (I'll 
leave out a pair of high priced bombs)  It drifts so bad it could have been 
produced by Hallicrafters. The so called selectivity control is unstable and 
adds considerable distortion.

That said I picked up a private sale mint one with matching speaker for $35 
a few years ago as the very low production (which speaks volumes all by 
itself) indicates it may become desirable to collectors. Mine is used 
sparingly for BCB talk radio, and WWV at one of the service benches, its 
pretty useless for anything else.

Your price is well below what Ive seen them selling for on Epay recently so 
it should be a fast seller..
