Hi Gene. I have the 1975 transistor D.A.T.A. book and it list 4 manufacturers for the 2N224 but not Philco. All four use the same base diagram which shows three leads at 120 degree spacing with the collector lead being about 0.062" shorter than the other two. Looking from the bottom, if you put the collector short lead at 10:00 O'clock, the emitter is at 1:00 O'clock and the base is at 6:00 O'clock. If you want the specs I can copy the sections and send them to you.
