What is the best way to remove the Front Panel enough to gain access
to the Switch Nuts underneath ?

I thought maybe supporting the rear on a couple of pieces of wood and
removing all the knobs and the panel nuts. Would I then be able to lift
the front panel enough to gain access to the switch nuts ?
