I felt I was able to assist with the 8072, but there are two tube lines I am
curious about. First, is the twin beam power tubes, starting with the 832A
(was there an 832?) to the 829B, to 5894 and then those odd ones Motorola
used in the 100 watt VHF MOTRACs. There were a few others used in land
mobile equipment by various manufacturers on UHF in the 50s and 60s.

Next is the 807 and the 6BG6G (NOT the 6BG6GT or GB). The 807 we all know.
The 6BG6G was an early sweep tube used in many of the early 50s RCA sets, 17
and 19 inches. Our family had one of these sets and the 6BG6G went bad. On
removing the tube I noticed it looked a lot like an 807 but with an octal
base. Tube manual indicated they were similar (One rated as a transmitting
tube, the other as a sweep tube, so they were hard to compare directly).
Anyway, since I had a few 807s, I wired up an adaptor and it worked just
fine until we got rid of the TV.

Anyone have any information on these two tube lines?
