Crystals are one of the tricks used for dating Collins gear. Sometimes there
are still tags attached to the back or inside with info as well. Can't get
to my 115 right now to check it over, it's still confined since the move.
They were in production from 1961-1964 which narrows it down a bit, unless
you can find a receipt or first hand account of when it was purchased, that
might be as close as you get.
