Rich, the TBW's, like the GO-9's, run on 800Hz 120VAC. If you look in the power supply/modulator section, the iron is really tiny. That's why the supply section weighs "only" about 50 lbs.

I have a GO-9 and the manual. The power supply section is the same basically except that there is no modulator in the GO-9, and power connections are different from the TBW, but circuits are essentially the same electrically. Some very minor differences - the TBW RF sections each have a T/R relay, while the GO-9 has a common one in the PS section. Different methods of attaching the units together, the TBW comes in three waterproof cases while the GO-9 sections are all attached. Antenna connections are on top of the GO-9 while they are on the back of the TBW.

Neat rigs.

  Subject: [Boatanchors] TBW-4 Info Wanted

There's some TBW gear listed on the "evil empire" that looks
interesting. Where can I get more info on these things ? Any
sites have TM's or the like ?
There is a Power Supply/Modulator, but I saw something about the
Power Supply needs 800 cycle AC ??

  Thanks for any leads,

  73, Dick, W1KSZ
