Many years ago I built a power supply for an ART-13 and for the 400V section I used a 300V transformer with a full wave bridge and capacitive input filter.  This worked quite well.  These transformers were used in a certain make of tube type TV, Zenith IIRC, and were quite common.  I would surmise that many of these transformers are still lurking in junkboxes across the land.
