I'm headed out soon to SW Kansas then down into eastern Texas via 287 out of Amarillo to Wichita Falls and north of Dallas, then east to Sulpher Springs and then south to my destination.
I have the following items i need to clear out.
Equity II Plus computer from 1988 or so. has a good hard drive, 10 or 20 mb not sure. It's my first computer after the Commodore 64 and AT&T units. What a performer? WOW, 12 mc speed. Still works great. has one floppy drive the original 3 1/2 inch one. Comes with mouse and keyboard and of course the power cord and a Very nice sharp NEC Multisynch FGx monitor. I even have the sales brochure and possibly the original sales receipt. While i like playing with it because of the DOS base and neat files from Norton Utilities which was a big thing then, i am under pressure to do away with it. $50 and i bring it along to deliver along the route someplace.
Along with that i have a very nice SP-600-JX-17 that i have to part with. Audio xfmr is not working but i'll supply a Collins transformer of similar characteristics as a replacement. Comes with original power cord and a couple of manuals. This is one of my babies and i sorely hate to dispose of it but space is becoming a problem. I use this for SWL and AM operation all the way thru 30 mc. Never gave the 6 meter part a shot. Nice looking front panel as well. Previous owner put in solid sate rectifier and i've not changed it back. Worked ok as far as i knew. He also did a product detector mod to it so it does pretty well on SSB and CW but that's not what i use it for so your opinion may be different than mine. $350 and i bring it along with me.
Another receiver to go is a Drake R-4C. It needs work in the PTO. Has lots of filters and extra xtals. Looks very nice, probably a 9 anyway. $325 and i bring it along with me.
One more item is a Collins 150S-1- transmitter from 1939 at least. It uses a pair of 813's in the final. Lots of mods to it because the previous owner wanted to use if for traffic back and forth to VietNam in the 60-70's time frame. All but one module is still there but an added power supply was built to beef it up for heavy duty operation. It needs to be rebuilt if you want it original. I have the original manuals and other items for it. I'll never get around to it. $1500 and i'll bring it along.
Lastly is my cherished AR-88F. It's heavy and i know shipping would be a bundle so if it's wanted along the route, i'll bring it along also. It has the black wrinkle front panel that is excellent along with two parallel chrome strips. Again this is one of my SWL/AM radios because of it's general coverage. Nice smooth tuning like the Sp-600. $375 and it will come with me.
That's it because if i get to bring all of these along for distribution i won't have a place to put my suitcase nor water cooler. Nor snacks!
Leave Monday Am around 6 so if your wanting one of these units and don't want to pay a wheelborrow full of cash for shipping, let me know today. I need firm commitments on these as i don't want to haul the weight around just because someone "might" want one.
