Yahbut, it only brings up the current holder. If the call has gone rogue,
it doesn't bring up the real person it originally belonged to. A search on
my elmer's call (first issued 1929) brings up someone who thinks a grid is a
search pattern for people the current administration wants to disappear
(yes, I know the current holder and what he does for a living).
So although your information is quite useful (I never realized that it
would find the call of someone whose name I remembered but call I had
forgotten), it wouldn't have helped the person whose post you replied to. The system
maintains no history. But a search on my name turned up a ham named Robert
in Downsville, LA (I grew up about 12 miles from Downsville). :-)
