[Boatanchors] Question,voltage multiplier circuit?

Joe,

I have the 1966 version of the Handbook and the circuit is corrected in 
there.  There is a phone jack connected to the + end of the voltage 
divider.  You are supposed to short it to ground.

BTW, I built that modulator.  It worked great during my AM days.  I even 
added a speech clipper circuit.  Still got it somewhere.
