[Boatanchors] 60 cycle buzzzz

Good evening:

For most of this last winter (is winter over, yet?), I've had a off and on, raspy, 60 cycle buzz (it's a buzz, not a hum) while listening to 160 and 75M.

I'm in Montana, so I often have a 1500 watt electric heater running in the shack, just to keep the ice off my toes.

This evening, while listening on 3870, I turned the heater off.  The buzz had not been heard, at all, until I turned the heater OFF.

I turned the heater back on and the buzz went away.  I turned it off, and the buzz returned.

Well, I thought, I'll unplug the heater.  Still the same buzz.

So, it's not the heater.  However, if the heater is on, the buzz is gone(?).

This is just another example of "It could only happen here, in my hamshack".

How could turning an electric heater on turn off a raspy buzz?
