Thanks for the information on SWBC carrier control, but my meter problem  
occurs on all modulation, whether SWBC, amateur or my HP signal generator.   For 
some reason Hammarlund moved the meter from the AVC detector to the audio  
detector, so the meter "sees" the modulation.  You can't filter the  detector 
more because it feeds the first audio amp.
