[Boatanchors] Whither SWL'ing...?

Here we go again...

Like the short wave bands, I can remember when these reflectors were 
sources of technical advice instead of endless off-topic threads - one 
of which this post is surely to start.

Seems to my failing memory that the reflectors weren't even tightly 
moderated like Boatanchors at the Porch.  The members moderated themselves.

I'm reeeaaaly getting tired of this.   I agree that the shortwave bands 
are gradu (a word a Mississippi colleague of mine used.  From context I 
think it roughly equates to "crap") but these reflectors are heading in 
the same direction.
