[Boatanchors] Orange OA3

I've aquired two Meissner Signal Shifters recently.  One is an older model that uses plug-in coils.  Other than a bad on-off switch, it seems to work FB.

The other is a newer model with the turret for changing bands.  This one makes somewhat less power-out than the earlier model.  It also has a VR tube (an OA3) that glows a bright orange-red.

I've always been under the impression that all VR tubes glowed blue.  However, I don't recall ever seeing or using an OA3.  I don't have another OA3 on hand, so I can't subsitute.

Any ideas?
