I refuse to use OJ's for the same reason. They look so garish and offer
absolutely no benefit over discs. When I need a film cap I buy from one
of the many overstock dealers on Ebay and go for the green or brown
ones.
All caps can cause audio distortion but in a basic single ended amp I
use disc which is exactly what the manufacturers used in the 60's once
400-600V, high value discs came down in price.
I use mylar in PP amps but using HP equipment I havent been able to see
any difference in distortion.
