[Boatanchors] Need Info on Jackson 648R Tube Tester

Well, Carl, the 648S was recommended but the
648R was what I found and bought on eBay and
it came with the powered ( but disconnected)
roll chart. There is a small motor to run it,
probably DC, that will run it in either direction.
The drive belt is missing, which should not be
any sort of serious trouble, but the lack of the
wiring to actually power it is probably a bit more
of a problem. It appears that the "power" roll
chart was an option only. Pulling the chart
housing out of its cubby-hole is not a problem
as it is not bolted in. HOWEVER, manually rolling
the driven wheel is cumbersome, to say the least.
I do have a manual with updated settings on the
way from Florida, so I guess it's not a serious
difficulty. I'd just like to get the 648R fully back
to original working status.
I will apparently have to make an adaptor for
7-pin tubes such as 1625 and also for the 9-pin
TV sweep tubes such as 6JB6, 6GJ5, etc.

Powered roll chart? How lazy can you get Mac <g>
I've got the 648S along with all the obsolete settings on the PC if you
need them. All 648 Jacksons share the same settings. Cant help with the
motor circuit BUT the schematic is always stapled to the inside of the
case. Hopefully it is still there.

I recently purchased the subject tube tester. It has
a powered test data roll chart, but no wiring exists
between the 648R itself and the roll chart.
Does anybody have any info on this?
Thanks in advance.
