[Boatanchors] Euro sub for 1R5/1L6

If you have the G-500, part of the work is already done. The chassis is
punched for the 1LA6 and the 1L6 is on a plate. Switching over wont be
easy but it has been done by others.

Ive never seen an adapter and making one would be a kluge and reports on
another forum is that it changes alignment on the 19M band so that
calibration is off even with an alignment.

I have a H-500 with a 1R5 and it works well, as reported by many over
the years, on the BCB and lower SW bands. Since I only use it at the
beach in Maine during the summer to impress the tourists the BCB and a
Red Sox game is about all it gets used for. It always draws a crowd as
it outperforms 99% of the SS sets on other blankets.

I also have a mint B-600 with a NOS 1L6 (found in an old tube caddy that
was packed full of many nice audiophool tubes, and all for $20) but that
is strictly a shelf queen.
