I see their point but after seeing some of the other postings about what cops are doing, i really wonder.  Last one was their using Kenwood 2 meter rigs in their police cars in Indianapolis.  FCC says to the department "you clean iit up yourself"  Apparently they aren't concerned with them operating unlicensed radios for non-ham reasons.  Chief told them to "take them out of the cars".  City radio tech's installed them.



    
             Looks like it may have been a 2.4Ghz PVC pipe antenna.
