[Boatanchors] Update on Garey Barrell

Same here, first I heard. Never met Garey, but have always enjoyed his
clear, well thought out responses to technical questions on these
lists. No snake oil, just good explanations.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You also Tom, despite being a bit
further along in the recovery process.
