Paul,

Suspect the socket for any B7G based tube would be the limiting factor  
here, especially if you're running audio which could add several  
hundred more peak volts above the 500 vdc you want to apply.  The 250  
volt figure  found in handbooks is not sacred, the 6AQ5 itself will  
take considerably higher voltages provided the plate dissipation is  
kept within reason.

Just what kind of a circuit are you working with here?  Note you're  
looking for 807's too.  Dozens of these up on eBay right now.
