And possiblely another problem...it's been in my attic for almost 40 years. It gets might hot up there in summer and cold in winter. Not a good place to store my parts & goodies, but no room left in the shack...hi..Bill

My RAO-7 has the same problem with the plastic dial face. Apparently there is a mold or mildew which attacks the old plastics.
The RBL should perform nicely for you; glad you found it!

Yes, the 1206 is probably ok for a few tone modulated beacons and AM wx broadcasts..if that's still done. The RBL dial face is actually ok, just the plastic cover...which can be replaced with some mylar or lexan type material...nothing critical there.

I deliberately did not mention the BC-1206 Bill! Its rather marginal to be
polite.
Get that RBL fired up, I doubt it will need much work. I believe the dial
face is available as a NC-100 item.
