With enough LEDs, and appropriate drivers, you can make displays as big
as you want for counters, clocks, etc.

with some very nice old AM gear he had quite a large frequency  counter
hanging on the wall.

It was at least a foot long and 6 or 8 inches tall.  It had a digital
readout with red numerals. 

Since I've recently become active on AM with my HT4-B, and using the MO
quite frequently, I think it would be fun to have such a device.

I've looked at all the usual "for sale" places during the last couple of
weeks, but have not seen anything like the device I've described.

Perhaps it's not called a "frequency counter"?

Any sage hints as to where I could find this whatever?
