Pace or handheld sucker for the regular parts.  SMD I use a VERY fine tip, usually 700 degrees, and some good solder wick.  It takes practice to unsolder SMD especially with the solder wick.  I have found that some wicks are better at removing the solder than others.  Experiment on a junk board to find which wick works for you.
