[Boatanchors] 811 TUBES

Better late than never... FINALLY... even though I receive the emails, I 
couldn't respond to boatanchors at mailman.qth.net....  maybe it's fixed now...
sooooooo, if this appears... I'M IN>>>>>>>   crossing my fingers, toes,

  I sent the email below and it never made it to Boatanchors

The Amateur Radio Handbooks:
1953 =   811 is capable of 55 Watts  at 1500 VDC and 150 Ma

1964 = 811A is capable of 65 Watts at 1500 VDC and 175 Ma

It is good to have OLD Amateur Radio Handbooks... in the back is Tube Info.

Both have same filaments at 6.3VAC/4A.  The grid to plate and grid to 
filament and plate to filament readings(capacitance) are different... I 
would guess then that they made a change in the spacing of the elements 
OR material OR both.  Really not that important here.  Just one is 
heftier than the other as far as HF rigs are concerned..  VHF rigs would 
be different.
