You could build a small solid-state 16.7 MHz mixer whose output is tuned
to 6000 KHz. The R-7000 10.7 MHz IF would feed the mixer. The issue might
be getting enough gain to drive the SB-620. By building a mixer, you
bypass having to cannibal the innards of the SB-620 circuitry.
