[Boatanchors] Speaker grill replacements

Hi:
I'm going to use a old wooden stereo speaker for one of my older receivers.  It doesn't have a grill to cover the speakers and I'm wondering what would be a CHEAP and easy way to make a press fit type of grill.  No frames or stapling.  Soething to push into the 1/4" of wood box frame that extends beyond the wooden face of the speaker box.  Any ideas?
