[Boatanchors] Heath VF-1 now HG-10

I picked up a VF-1 that someone had modified to look more like
the HG-10 circuit. It works well enough, but the output looks a
bit strange to me.
The triode section is a Cathode Follower. The Grid has a decent
Sine Wave (about 5v p-p), but the Cathode Output looks more
like a pulse train.
Never having seen either a VF-1 or HG-10 I don't know if this
is normal. 

Any thoughts ??
