Yes, the "MAILMAN" software strips attachments as part of its configuration.

However, the tracing mechanism to find WHERE it originated at is all in 
the message headers.

The sending info: 216.107.229.124 42.989N, 71.467W 
216-107-229-124.dynamic.dsl.seg.net

So obviously someone went out of their way to TRY to infect QSL.NET, by 
using a DSL connection, and using a phony E-Mail address from Comcast.

1) Comcast doesn't use DSL.
2) The actual IP Address belongs to segnet.com, NOT Comcast.net.
3) It traces to the very lower, (Southern), portion of New Hampshire.

Since the QSL.NET/QTH.NET operator whom is the new owner of the list has 
well over 500 lists to worry about, I'm not going to send him the full 
trace.

It hasn't done ANYTHING except stir comment.
