  My guess is that the email server of the intended recipient
  (fralom at comcast.net) processed the mailman.qth.net
  message with multiple addressees and automatically
  "decided" that boatanchors at mailman.qth.net was sending
  spam and sent out that "canned" message.
   
  I doubt that there is a virus or trojan involved.
