[Boatanchors] Johnson Valiant: Solid state diode update

John, I asked you this once before - do you know of anyone with a
Hallicrafter SX-9. 
 
I contacted a ham in Arizona who was going to take some pictures of the
pointer mechanism but I am still waiting.  There is a dial cord that moves
the a pointer to indicate the band selection which is driven from a pulley
on the bandswitch knob.
 
Can anyone assist me.
