I spent a bit more than 20 years wearing the uniform.
Not just a handful of years. Went far beyond simple infantry that many
times ended up with their names in the Black Granite.
Some of those were because one idiot draft type decided to either pop
pills from the Vill', or smoke the shrubbery that came from the same place.
They didn't have the sense to realize that the VC and NVA were the
suppliers.
Then there are those that went on and worked for outfits like National
and others.
Sorry! I was still in until 1988. My time was spent on duty, raising a
family, and buying a house to live in AFTER the career.
I've also spent a bit of time getting a granddaughter through making it
being born at 27 to 28 weeks into the process that weighed One Pound
Fourteen Ounces!
Now YOU two can go talk to each other!
