[Boatanchors] 8640 Gear problems.

As one might expect, making or buying replacement gears for the 8640 has
been pursued heavily (been beat to death) on the HP-Agilent Listserv.
Most, if not all, of the gears are available "off the shelf". It happens
that those who have expertise in gears don't have and don't necessarily want
an 8640 and nobody has loaned a full set to anyone who has offered to do all
of the leg work.

NOT A FIRM OFFER AT THIS TIME!
If anyone has an intact gear or a detailed macro photograph of one WITH
DIMENSIONS I can possibly duplicate it.
I have a small machine shop here with gear cutting attachments for my
horizontal mill.
Retired, (and not union) I may be able to help some out.
Not looking for business; just another HP and Tek test equipment freak <g>.
