Okay,  I gave the DX-60 and amp as a straight forward example.

Again, I've never dealt with an AF-67 so have NO comment there!  Won't 
talk what I do NOT know!

I posed this as real world information.  At no time did you say amp NOR 
no amp.  I'm not trying to stir pot!  Just give KNOWN DATA POINTS.

You posted a couple of questions:

SSB with carrier, as the KWS-1 uses, *BEGINS* to bring in the earlier 
issue of complete high, (plate level), level modulated systems.

Those are going to be more difficult to calculate as you only have one 
sideband, and I do NOT know how much the modulator plays into power 
calculations.

The values you present for the AF-67 give the appearance as being inside 
the operating parameters of the SG-230.
