[Boatanchors] Using a SG-230 tuner on AM

The issue Bob is not driving an linear, Ive been doing that since the 60's.
I also know how to tune the TX and a modulation scope is used to get it
perfect.
The issue is safely using the SG-230 and the only rigs I have that wont blow
past the 200W PEP limit is the DX-60B and AF-67.
I was just curious how a SSB with carrier rig or controlled carrier can have
the same 6dB PEP increase as equal to a 100% modulated Class C rig.
The replies so far dont calculate but Ive been too busy to dig in any
further.
