It is even worse with WRL units.  Leo used up all the parts that he had in stock no matter what the label on the unit said.  I have a Globe Champion 350A that is in the old style cabinet and just had 350 on the front panel.  I asked Leo about this since my 350 did not look anything like other 350s that I had worked on and he said that I definitely have a 350A.  He just did not believe in changing to things like the new cabinet and new front panel until he had used up everything from the earlier model that was in stock.

Since when has any Hallicrafters product ever followed the schematic? Except for whatever production moment matched up.
 
I have Hallis going back to the SX-9 and its always an adventure if I actually need an accurate schematic to restore.
